Lenten Parish Mission

Parish Lenten Mission

For many years, St. Luke Parish offered Lenten Soup Suppers that were followed by excellent presenters who shared the richness of our Catholic faith and spirituality.  Unfortunately, the investment of time, money and hard work, especially from our older volunteers, did not result in attracting sufficient numbers of parishioners anticipated by the program. Many adults came for the soup but left before the speakers even uttered a word!

This year, we are replacing the Soup Suppers with a new tradition here at St. Luke! On March 4, 5 and 6 we have invited Father Thomas Haan to hear confessions at 4:30 p.m., celebrate the 5:30 p.m. Mass, and speak to our parish about the spiritual life and how to grow in holiness during in holiness.

Below is a photo and brief bio of our Lenten preacher. We look forward to welcoming him in March and hope that many parishioners will stay for his talks following the 5:30 p.m. Mass. More information about his talks will be shared in the future.

To RSVP please email Sr. Diane at [email protected].
