PARISH MANAGER POSITON

            Saint Luke Catholic Church is seeking a Parish Manager.  This person serves as the Operating Officer of the parish.  Duties include planning and managing administrative and business functions including finance, human resources, and general administrative services.  The Parish Manager reports directly to the Pastor.  The job description is available from the Indianapolis Archdiocesan Office of Human Resources.  Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume, and any other pertinent information to Human Resources, Archdiocese of Indianapolis:  HR@archndy.org or P.O.  MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE POSITION OBJECTIVE

 

Provide janitorial and light maintenance support for St. Luke Catholic Church as part of the Maintenance Department. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and the Parish Manager in terms of overall responsibilities. Must be able to work weekends

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Set up rooms for various parish functions.
  2. Clean bathrooms, Narthex, and other areas, as assigned.
  3. Keep exterior of building clean of debris.
  4. Complete work orders for various cleaning and light repair items.
  5. Accomplish other responsibilities as assigned.
  6. Preferred working hours 11 - 7

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High school degree preferred
  2. Maintenance or janitorial experience
  3. Equivalent combination of education and experience

  1. lifting tables (eg., eight-foot rectangular and five-foot round), chairs, and other items needed to set up facilities for group meetings and events;

  4. trash removal, including moving trash cans and emptying trash into outdoor dumpster; andability to kneel, bend, stand to perform maintenance tasks.

Financial Associate

 

Primary Functions

 

Assists in maintaining church financial records to help strengthen our volunteer ministries and provide information for our parishioners. Provides overall support for the Accounting Office.

 

Implements the Choice Scholarship Program and the State Granting Organization (SGO) Grants for the parish school.

 

Collaborates with the members of the Administrative Staff, the Pastoral Staff, and other groups and individuals as needed.

 

 

Major Responsibilities and Regular Activities / Essential Functions

 

Assists in maintaining church financial records by:

 

       Receives, counts, and prepares deposits for church offerings and other revenue.

       Posts general offerings and pledge payments to individual accounts.

       If requested, files vouchers upon payment.

       Mails pledge cards and stewardship letters as needed.

       Records parish annual stewardship pledges and United Catholic Appeal pledges.

 

 

Implements the Choice Scholarship Program and the State Granting Organization (SGO) Grants for the parish school by:

 

       Markets the Choice and SGO programs to returning school families at appropriate times.

       Monitors financial aid applications for St. Luke Catholic School for completion and moves them to the appropriate phase of grant requests.

       Maintains all paperwork associated with the Choice Scholarship program, including submission of all needed applications and documentation; getting parent signatures of all required endorsement; and maintenance of a hardcopy file per student per year, to the level required by the Department of Education.

       Submits all appropriate paperwork for SGO grants and maintains files on each student on an annual basis.

       Recommends potential grants from parish funding, as needed.

Education, Training, and/or Experience

 

                Bachelor degree (B.A.) in business, finance, accounting or related field preferred.

                Experience (paid and/or volunteer) in finance in a not-for-profit setting highly desired.

                Working knowledge of ACS, FACTS, FellowshipOne, MacOS, and/or Microsoft Office helpful.

                Previous experience with State of Indiana Choice Scholarship and SGO programs helpful.

                Equivalent combination of education and experience

 

 

 

Working Environment

 

Work is generally performed indoors. Requires sitting at a desk for extended periods. Often includes repetitive keystrokes on a computer keyboard and repetitive motion using check reader hardware. May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such a from office or cleaning equipment.
