Dear Friends in Christ,
As your Pastor, I am honored to share a few reflections on what it truly means to live a life of stewardship. Our parish family gathers daily to celebrate the sacraments of our faith. At the heart of our faith is the Holy Eucharist—the ultimate act of stewardship where we come to God’s altar to offer Him our prayers, sacrifices, thanksgiving, and praise. This year in particular, St. Luke Parish commemorates sixty-five years of celebrating this sacred action at 7575 Holiday Drive East. Happy Anniversary!
True stewardship begins with God. It is rooted entirely in His immense love for us, proven through the ultimate sacrifice of His beloved Son. Until we recognize that our faith is a direct response to this divine gift, we cannot fully understand our deep need for God or properly express our gratitude.
Stewardship is not just about financial giving; it is a vital Catholic way of life. It is the practice of recognizing God’s blessings in our lives, cultivating those gifts responsibly, and sharing them lovingly with our community. Ultimately, stewardship is an act of discipleship—a generous, heartfelt response to God’s call.
Catholic stewardship is about strengthening the Body of Christ, where each of us plays a unique part in God's divine plan. Living as faithful stewards brings a deep sense of joy, peace, and fulfillment, knowing we are walking in harmony with God's will.
May God, the source of our existence, sustain us as we reflect His life through generous stewardship.
In Christ Forever,
Fr. Joe
