Dear Friends in Christ,

I welcome you with this letter on stewardship. Already we have celebrated many events that are the foundation of stewardship, namely and most importantly, is the Eucharist. This pinnacle is the coming of God’s people to His Altar to offer prayer, sacrifice, thanksgiving, and praise. 

The life and foundation of all stewardship is God and what He has done for us in sacrificing His own beloved Son. Until we realize that stewardship is first and foremost rooted in God and His love for us in this gift of His Son, we cannot fully realize the need for our thanksgiving through lives of stewardship.

A vital part of the Catholic faith is stewardship, encompassing a way of life that goes beyond just financial giving. At its core, stewardship is about discipleship and responding generously to God’s call.

• Prayer: Purifying our intentions and relating everything to God

• Fasting: Detaching from worldly comforts and focusing on spiritual growth
