Useful Information for New Parishners
Thank you for visiting Saint Luke Catholic Church. We hope to see you soon!
Our church is located on 75th Street between Illinois Street on the east and Holliday Drive East on the west.
Where to Park: The main entrance to the parish is off Holliday Drive East. The entry opens to a circle drive, with handicapped parking labeled closest to the parish entrance on the west side.
Where to Enter: The three main sets of double-doors are on the west side of the building, although there is a two single entryways off Illinois Street. The main entrance opens into a small vestible. To the right of the entrance is our Adoration Chapel and our Magnificat (Daily Mass) Chapel. Straight ahead, through another set of doors, is our Narthex.
What is the Narthex: The Narthex was designed to be the center of our facilities and to make all aware of our spiritual being. Its 39 foot high wood-beamed ceiling is a continuation of the ceiling of the worship space. There are six entrances off the Narthex besides the church. The entrances are to:
- the "cry room"
- the school building
- two entrances to the Father Courtney Reception Room (one to the "sitting room" and one to the meeting area)
- a hallway entrance to the Business Offices, the Parish Hall, and the Parish Library; and
- the Pastoral Offices.
Where are the restrooms: Restrooms are available and are located on the east side of the Narthex.
