Christ Our Hope --- Compassion In Community
During the past several weeks our St. Luke community has been hearing the message of stewardship in the Gospel readings, in the homilies, and in our prayers. Your stewardship is vital to our parish's ability to sustain itself, to grow, and to offer ministry programs with the parish.Through your kindness and the giving of your time, talent and treasure we are able to: support the St. Luke community through its many ministries; provide spiritual nourishment through liturgical offerings and the homily; maintain our place of worship; and meet our monthly obligations.
I also ask that you please consider a financial pledge to the United Catholic Appeal this year. Like your gifts to the parish, the United Catholic Appeal directly affects you – with the combined benefit of helping the archdiocesan community. Your gifts to the United Catholic Appeal will help: educate 26 seminarians and support our 39 retired priests; assist more than 99,225 individuals and families through Catholic Charities outreach; provide quality Catholic education services and programs to over 45,000 children, youth and adults; and provide training and renewal to parish leaders who guide us in parish and archdiocesan worship.
Please return your intention card to the parish office by mail or simply place it in the collection basket at Mass. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Sue Reynolds, Sr. Bookkeeper, at ext. 217. The St. Luke community and the archdiocesan community sincerely thank you for your faithful commitment.
