Parish Life Commission
This Commission is a collection of groups that provide social opportunities for all members of St. Luke, children to adults, within a Christian environment.
Basketball, Tuesday Night - Andrew Young
Basketball for men in the "over 30" crowd is scheduled for every Tuesday evening.
Black Catholic Caucus - Judy Harkness (255-4938)
Good Samaritans - Sharon Richey (249-9516) and Mary Lynn Subrin (410-9517)
This group prepares meals for families and guests following funerals. Dinner can be either in the Fr.Courtney Reception Room or in the home.
Lenten Soup Suppers - Jan Kuykendall (259-7233)
During Lent, soup is donated by parishioners each week and bread is provided. Parishioners enjoy fellowship and a warm meal.
Mothers of Young Children (MOYC) - Lori Feldman (332-5202)
Through monthly meetings and activities, MYOC acts to be a means for spiritual, social and educational growth for young mothers, as well as to encourage the development of parish families in becoming witnesses to the Catholic Faith.
Nursery - Erin Miller (490-8133)
The nursery is a service offered by MOYC that is available to parents of preschool children free of charge at the 9:30 AM Mass on Sundays, September through May. Parents are expected to volunteer to watch the children on a rotating basis.
Scouts- Jim Rapp (Boys, 727-5440) and Michele Williams (Girls, 252-4468)
The scouting program at Saint Luke offers Cub, Webelo, Brownie, and Girl Scout troops.
Senior Group /GLIMMERS- Diane Schafer (259-4373 x218)
The GLIMMERS is a group designed specifically for parishioners age 65 and older. Our mission is to provide opportunities for personal, social, intellectual, and spiritual growth - to share life together! The GLIMMERS meet about 8 times per year for an event that includes lunch. Certain events require registration for catering purposes.
