"Helping Homeless Families Help Themselves"
Holy Family Shelter opened its doors in Indianapolis more than two decades ago to provide temporary emergency housing for people in need. Director Bill Bickel said, "We're providing for the poorest of the poor in our community." The shelter never closes its doors. It admits families 23 hours a day and is usually at full capacity.
Saint Luke provides financial assistance to this important ministry. This past summer, we donated $5,000 to help their efforts. Now, we are trying to find ways in which our parishioners can be involved in the expansion of services at the new location.
