Clemency Given!

We have just received work that Texas Governor Rick Perry has commuted the death sentence of Kenneth Foster to a life sentence in prison.
The governor accepted the recommendation from the state parole board as “the right and just decision.” He also stated: “I am concerned about a Texas law that allowed capital murder defendants to be tried simultaneously and it is an issue I think the legislature should examine.” A life sentence for a getaway driver still seems excessive, but we can be grateful that Kenneth’s life has been spared. Thank you to all who sent messages to Governor Perry.
